West Port High School is pleased to be a partner in the federal
TRIO program Educational Talent Search, The goal of ETS Is to
keep students on track to graduate from high school and enroll In
the college or vocational program of his/her choice. The path
leading to college can be scary and unknown to many parents and
students. ETS helps to make this process easier by reminding
students of what they need to do, when they need to do it, and
offering hands on assistance.
Services are free and include:
• monthly meeting~ to track progress toward meeting criteria for college acceptance/enrollment; guidance with course selection:
• career exploration;
• study skills and test taking strategies;
• college and university campus tours; and
• hands on assistance completing college applications and financial aid forms.
Students can receive an application from their guidance counselor.
