Cell Phone Policy 2025-26
Marion County Public Schools has issued a new cell phone policy for the 2025-26 school year.
Per Florida House Bill 1105, cell phones and headphones will not be permitted to be visible or used while in classrooms unless permitted by a teacher. West Port wants our students to be connected and engaged with their teachers and class mates and make it a GREAT school year!

West Port High School's Progressive Discipline Plan
West Port High School will follow a Progressive Discipline plan for cell phone violations as follows:
1. Teacher warning.
2. ALPHA Detention (Teacher) and Parent contact
3. Referral with ALPHA Detention (Student Services) and Parent contact
4. Referral with CDA and Parent contact
5. Referral with continued progressive discipline
